PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Delays are being reported at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport due to low staffing levels.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported a delay of around an hour due to staffing at Sky Harbor on Tuesday morning.

As of 7:20 a.m., the airport reported 82 delayed flights.

Sky Harbor Delays and Cancelations

Details about which positions have low staffing levels is unclear. Arizona’s Family has crews en route to Sky Harbor Airport to learn more information.

Delays have been reported at airports nationwide since the government shutdown began last month, causing air traffic controllers and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees to work without pay. The shutdown entered its 35th day on Tuesday.
