Qualifying has started for the Dec. 9 special election for the Georgia House seat formerly held by the late state Rep. Mandi Ballinger, and four candidates so far have signed up to run for the office.
Interested candidates will have the opportunity to sign up on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Four candidates, all Republicans, qualified on Monday to run for Georgia House District 23: Ann Gazell, Bill Fincher, Rajpal “Raj” Sagoo and William Ware, the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office reported.
The district includes portions of north and central Cherokee County, including Canton.
