SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Greene County Commission says that for the 5th straight year, the county is participating in "Operation Green Light," an initiative meant to support military veterans and raise awareness about the challenges they face.
From Nov. 4 to Nov. 11, which is Veterans' Day, many county buildings will be partially lit in green in support of the nation's veterans.
Local businesses and citizens can also participate by changing just one light bulb to green, whether it's an exterior or interior light. Residents are also encouraged to share their green lights with the hashtag #OperationGreenLight on social media or tagging Greene County on Facebook.
