GREGG COUNTY, Texas — Officials are searching for a vehicle and its driver that struck an elderly man riding a bicycle on a Gregg County road.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the bicyclist was hit around 7 p.m. Monday on FM 1252 westbound in Gregg County. The driver failed to stop and give aid to the man.
DPS said the following is known about the vehicle:
• Possible newer model Hyundai Sonata or Elantra
• Gray or Silver
• Missing right-side rearview mirror
• May have additional damage along the right side from contact with the bicycle
• Last seen traveling westbound on FM-1252
