SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Fire Department responded to two structure fires Tuesday morning.
Just after 7:15 a.m., SBFD was dispatched to the 1100 block of North Olive Street for a vehicle fire. When they arrived, they found an RV fire, upgrading the call to a residential response.
They were able to get the fire under control in around 10 minutes, preventing the flames from extending into a nearby home. No injuries were reported.
Just after 9 a.m., SBFD was dispatched to the intersection of Fox Street and St. Joseph Street for another structure fire. This time, in the 200 block of Fox Street, the firefighters discovered a vacant house and shed on fire.
Fire was showing on the outside of the house, but it was extinguished before it could extend inside
