KEO, Arkansas — Following an hours-long search, Arkansas State Police located a 4-year-old girl who was missing on Tuesday.
Initially, there was a missing/endangered advisory issued for the child after she was last seen on the morning of November 4 in Keo.
Authorities said that she was later located in the afternoon on Tuesday, following a search that used a helicopter and tracking dogs.
Lonoke County Sheriff John Staley said she simply wandered away from home and was found near the house after coming back.
"She was just playing," Staley said. "She was like, 'Hey, what's going on?"
Staley said the hours-long search provides a good lesson for parents.
"Make sure you keep an eye on them [kids]," Staley said. "Because they can sneak away at the turn of your head, and that's what happene
