GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WATE) — As Sevier County continues to generate billions in tourism spending, Anakeesta announced a $100 million expansion called "Making More Magic."
A press release from the Gatlinburg theme park explained that this was part of a five-year plan with the first phase launching in 2026. For this phase, the business plans to build a "next-generation" lift, expand the Treetop Skywalk and completely renovate the Firefly Village. It also plans to add a nighttime Firefly Experience.
"Guests can look forward to all-new attractions, immersive experiences, and enhanced spaces that celebrate the beauty, spirit, and creativity of the Smokies," an Anakeesta spokesman said. • (Anakeesta) Firefly Experience expansion rendering, construction scheduled to begin in in spring • (Anak
