INDIANAPOLIS -- A third suspect has been taken into custody in relation to a homicide investigation on the north side of Indianapolis from earlier this year, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
On Monday, detectives from IMPD's violent crimes unit arrested Malachi Wells on an active murder warrant, according to a news release from IMPD. This comes after two other suspects, Alexis Hawkins and Brian Winston, were previously taken into custody on their respective murder warrants.
According to previous reports, officers were called to the 4900 block of Primrose Avenue in the early morning hours of Jan. 25 on a call of a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot sitting outside a vehicle. The man was transported to a local hospital
