GLOBE, AZ (AZFamily) — Crews have completed temporary repairs to reopen the US 60 between Superior and the Globe-Miami area after devastating floods damaged crucial infrastructure in September and October.

On Oct. 20, repair work began after flooding washed away embankments and damaged sections of US 60 just west of Miami, restricting the roadway to one lane. Crews completed the job on Tuesday, reopening the road to two lanes.

The State Transportation Board approved $3 million for repairs on Oct. 23 , allowing for the just-completed interim work.
