Gloucester is just a few months away from a new hotel opening in the city centre as part of The Forum development .

Hotel Indigo is intending to open in February 2026, bringing 129 bedrooms, a rooftop bar and a restaurant to the heart of the city.

The hotel would be part of the ongoing transformation of the Kings Square area, propelled forward by The Forum.

The University of Gloucestershire has taken over the former Debenhams building and the old Chambers pub is to be turned into Coro Lounge, from the Loungers group, which runs brands Cosy Club, Lounge and Brightside.
