An alleged Islamic State supporter accused of plotting a terror attack on Manchester’s Jewish community previously worked as an entertainer at holiday camps, a trial heard.

Walid Saadaoui was arrested by police in a car park in Bolton next to a vehicle containing machine guns. He is accused of planning the mass murder of Jews in conversations with an undercover law enforcement operative.

The 38-year-old, of Crankwood Road, Abram, Wigan, and his co-accused, Amar Hussein, 52, of no fixed abode, deny terror charges.

Mr Saadaoui’s brother Bilel Saadaoui denies failing to disclose acts of terrorism. The trio are standing trial at Preston Crown Court.
