ELLENSBURG, Wash. – A high-speed chase through Ellensburg ended with the arrest of 35-year-old Charles Farrell. The incident began around 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, when Deputy Nate Rawson observed a white Kia running two stop signs in north Ellensburg.
After initially stopping, the vehicle took off again, leading deputies on a pursuit. The chase moved west of Ellensburg and onto I-90, with the Kia reaching speeds over 105 mph. Washington State Patrol Troopers joined the pursuit as the vehicle continued eastbound.
Deputy Jose Serrano deployed spike strips at milepost 108. The Kia hit the strips, losing tire pressure. Serrano then performed a PIT maneuver to bring the vehicle to a stop.
