A teenager on a moped died in a crash while fleeing a traffic stop in Belmont, Massachusetts, on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The moped, being driven by an 18-year-old from Watertown, crashed into an SUV after making a turn onto Stults Road from Belmont Street, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office and Belmont police. He hasn't been publicly identified.

The incident began when the moped was spotted driving the wrong way on Trapelo Road at about 8:55 a.m., officials said. Police tried to pull the vehicle over but it didn't stop — the crash took place several blocks away.
The 18-year-old was rushed to a hospital from the scene, where he was subsequently pronounced dead, officials said. T
