JASPER COUNTY, Miss. - Two monkeys are still on the loose after a crash in Mississippi last week. But at one point, there were three — until a mother who said she feared for her children's safety shot and killed one of them over the weekend.

Jessica Bond said her family's mornings at their home near Heidelberg, Miss., are usually pretty quiet. No dogs barking, no monkeys in the front lawn. But this past Sunday morning, things were different.

"But my, it's the monkey," Bond said. "So I said, 'Oh snap, let me get my, let me get my phone and let me get my gun.'"
