The Government of Canada has come through with a major investment to support efforts by the Municipality of Chatham-Kent to address homelessness and housing security.
The federal government has announced more than $3.7 million in funding toward the municipality’s transitional housing project through its affordable housing fund (AHF), stated a municipal release issued Tuesday.

Located at 392 Park St., the Pathways on Park transitional housing provides 50 modular cabins and a community building designed to offer secure, temporary housing and on-site supports for individuals experiencing homelessness, municipal officials said.
