NEW YORK (PIX11) — New York City residents began making their way to voting locations at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
Voters who couldn't make it in the early morning, midday or early evening may be wondering what time polls close. Forgot your ID? That's okay, as long as you're a registered voter.
What time do polls close in NYC?
New York City voting locations, like the rest of the state, close at 9 p.m. ET.
What if I'm in line to vote at the deadline?
If you're in line and the clock strikes nine, do not worry. As long as you are on-site at the 9 p.m. deadline, you will be allowed to vote.
When you're finished voting and get you're "I Voted" sticker, you can head to some spots around the city to trade in your badge of voting honor for some free treats.
