NEW YORK CITY (WCIA) -- The University of Illinois can claim another wheelchair marathon win following the New York Marathon, and it can even claim the runner-up spot.

Alumni Susannah Scaroni and Tatyanna McFadden were among 59,000 athletes who ran or propelled their wheelchairs through the five boroughs of New York City on Sunday. There were 21 participants in the women's wheelchair division of the marathon, and 20 of them were chasing Scaroni, who dominated the division with a time of 1:42:10.

McFadden, the runner-up, crossed the finish line in Central Park with a time of 1:47:54, edging out Catherine Debrunner of Switzerland by two seconds.
