EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - In Evansville, the Ronald McDonald House and Culiver Cultivations are partnering to create a new garden.

Culiver Cultivations plans to plant kale, lettuce, and any other vegetables or fruit that the residents request.

They are making three garden beds and the organization will be taking care of the plants, which will grow there for a year.

The owner says he hopes the garden will have a positive impact on those who live there.

“Just giving back to the community is always something that we Culiver Cultivations love to do, but for the families, I hope it helps them join together,” says Collin Culiver. “I hope it helps them connect with nature, and I hope it helps them improve the quality of fruits and vegetables that they are able to utilize on a day to day basis
