HOLLYWOOD BEACH, Fla. ( WWSB ) — Two people were rescued from a boat fire near Hollywood Beach Monday afternoon after emergency responders found a 22-foot pleasure craft completely engulfed in flames.

Broward County fire rescue crews responded to the call at 1:35 p.m. When they arrived, they found the vessel fully ablaze with dramatic smoke and plumes rising from the boat.

One person was rescued by a good Samaritan while another was pulled to safety from the water by the United States Coast Guard. Both men were uninjured.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
