TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - New tensions have surfaced in Pima County as the chairwoman of the Pima County GOP claims that seven Republican observers were denied entry to ballot replacement sites. The Pima County Recorder's Office is addressing these allegations.
As ballot counting continued in Pima County Tuesday, tensions were rising due to Republican observers being turned away at ballot replacement sites. The Pima County Recorder's Office stated they were not informed of this issue in advance.
Many voters were seen dropping off their mail-in ballots at the Pima County Recorder's Office near Country Club Road and Valencia Road on Tuesday. Johnny Vielma, one of the voters, emphasized the importance of voting, saying, "You're supposed to get out here and vote."
