TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead on the southside of Tucson on Monday night.
According to the Tucson Police Department, a fatal hit-and-run occurred on Nov. 3 near Park Avenue and Irvington Road. TPD Operations Division South officers responded to the 200 block of West Tennessee Street around 7 p.m. after a report of a unresponsive woman in the roadway.
Upon arrival, the Tucson Fire Department found and evaluated the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene. TPD has identified her as 75-year-old Sally Alcaraz Rodriguez.
Through interviews and evidence from the scene, traffic detectives revealed that Rodriguez was dropped off in the roadway by a vehicle. Her personal belongings were found near South Liberty Avenue and West Kentucky Stree
