COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police say three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a Columbia apartment complex last month.

According to Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook, 18-year-old Mason N. Taylor is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Investigators say Taylor shot 29-year-old Devonte Redmond in the upper body at Columbia Gardens Apartments on Plowden Road on October 15, 2025.

Police say two other teens were also present during the shooting and did not intervene or report the crime.

18-year-old Daquan D. Macon is charged with misprision of a felony and accessory after the fact to murder — accused of failing to report the shooting, disposing of the weapon, and helping Taylor leave the scene.
