A "do not travel" warning has been issued after Stockport railway station has been evacuated on Tuesday evening.
Trains have been cancelled, people have been evacuated and bomb units have attended the station along with police, fire crews and paramedics on Greek Street this evening (November 4), with a 200m cordon currently in place.
The incident is focussed around a footbridge at Stockport railway station with all trains currently unable to serve the station. It's thought emergency crews were called to reports of a 'suspicious' suitcase and some nearby homes have reportedly been evacuated.
