MINNEAPOLIS — At Crosstown Insurance in Hopkins, insurance agent Shawnee Christenson is having difficult conversations with her clients now that MNsure open enrollment has begun.
"Yeah, some people cry,” Christenson said. “We have definitely had an increase in calls; people are panicked.”
The open enrollment period for 2026 health insurance plans officially started on Saturday, Nov. 1.
MNsure says the average health insurance plan will cost an additional 21.5% compared to last year.
“The inflation of this is just unsustainable,” Christenson said.
