PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Voters in four Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania Counties will select four new judges tonight.
Here are the local judicial races Newswatch 16 is tracking:
Monroe County
In Monroe County , candidates are competing for two seats on the bench opening up with the retirements of judges Margherita Patti-Worthington and Arthur Zulik.
Those running are Democrats Patrick Best and Janet Jackson and Republicans Kelly Lombardo and Alexander Marek. Each spent years working as lawyers in Monroe County.
As night drew on, the Democrats declared victory.
Luzerne County
In Luzerne County , attorney Mark Bufalino was elected the newest judge to the county's bench.
Bufalino defeated Tom Mosca, of Dallas, in a race that was something of a rematch.
