ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ala. —
Highway 231 in St. Clair County is open to traffic again after crews completed major repairs on a sinkhole that first appeared in July.
ALDOT says Highway 231 is now back open to traffic after extensive repair work to fix the sinkhole that first appeared in July.
Crews say today's work should be a permanent solution to keep it from reopening.
There will be alternating lane closures tomorrow as workers lay the final driving surface.
