A race that began more than a year ago for some of the eight candidates vying to be Santa Fe's next mayor is coming to a close as city voters cast the final ballots in Tuesday's local election.

City Councilor Michael Garcia, County Commissioner Justin Greene, Letitia Montoya, Tarin Nix, Jeanne O'Dean, Oscar Rodriguez, and former City Councilors Ron Trujillo and JoAnne Vigil Coppler are all hoping to become the City Different's 44th mayor after what likely will be several rounds of vote tallying in the ranked-choice race.
