MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A man shot by law enforcement officers robbed a smoke shop and shot the store's employee prior to being captured, according to court records obtained by FOX13.
A law enforcement officer shot Marquis Davis near Corky's on North Germantown Parkway on Halloween. Davis's arrest affidavit says that Davis entered the Exotic Smoke Shop shortly before the incident and pretended to be a customer. But instead of buying anything, police say that Davis pulled out a gun with an extended magazine, pointed it at the smoke shop employee, and demanded money.
