WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) - The race for the two spots on the Watertown City Council is shaping up to be a tight one.

According to the Jefferson County Board of Elections, Shane Garrabrant is the current leader with 1,297 votes as of 10:25 p.m. Doug Osborne is in second place with 1,257, while Pete Monaco is close with 1,209 votes.

Anthony Velasquez is currently in fourth with 837 votes.

There were a total of 162 write-in votes as of the last update. The results could be up in the air due to several mail-in ballots.
