A £1m pot will be spent on a "complex trauma team" helping children across the region. Stockton will host the new team, with funding from Teesside's five local authorities and the NHS North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board.
It will help a small number of children with complex difficulties and look at how to support young people and their families, Stockton Council's community safety select committee heard. Kimm Lawson, Tees Valley head of commissioning for the NHS North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB), spoke to the committee, which is carrying out a review of children affected by domestic abuse.
