ST. GEORGE, La. (WAFB) - An electrical malfunction in the bathroom vent of a home sparked a fire on Ridge Pecan Drive in St. George.

Firefighters responded to the fire around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 1. When they arrived, they found smoke coming through the roof of the two-story home.

Crews determined that everyone inside the home had escaped to safety and then went inside to fight the flames.

Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to pinpoint the cause and extinguish the fire. The flames were put out within 30 minutes.

Four people were displaced. The Red Cross was called to help.

No injuries were reported.
