Skywatchers, get ready for another supermoon coming up on Wednesday, Nov. 5. This will be the second supermoon of three in a row and the brightest of 2025, according to experts.
It will rise low on the horizon, and like the October harvest moon, it will rise around the same time for several nights.
The supermoon is known as a full beaver moon, but there are many alternative names, according to the Farmers' Almanac. The phrase comes from a number of Native American and European customs and mythology.
The Algonquin call it “Moon of Much White Frost On Grass.” While the Kalapuya in the Pacific Northwest say “Moon of Moving Inside for Winter.”
Here is what to know about November's super moon and other common questions.
