WI insurance commissioner urges consumers to get health insurance coverage during open enrollment

MADISON (WKOW) -- Now is the time to secure health insurance coverage for next year, as open enrollment is underway.

State and local leaders are encouraging you to stay covered with a plan on HealthCare.gov , even as plans may be changing and prices may be going up.

Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner Nathan Houdek joined leaders at Stoughton Hospital Tuesday and is once again encouraging everyone to look at their health care options and get help if you need it.

"Every situation is different, and that's why it's really important that you work with you know, someone that you trust, who can help you navigate the questions you might have and make sure You get the right coverage," Houdek said.

Open enrollment lasts through January 15, 2026.
