CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Voters in Charlotte elected four city council members Tuesday for at-large city council seats in the 2025 municipal elections.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, Charlotte voters reelected four Democratic incumbents for at-large city council seats. Those incumbents included: Dimple Ajmera, Victoria Watlington, James “Smuggie” Mitchell Jr., and LaWana Slack-Mayfield.
Ajmera led the way with 21.04% of the vote, followed by Watlington with 20.73%, Mitchell had 19.63% and Slack-Mayfield had 19.11% of the votes with 167 of the 169 precents reported.
Election results are not official until they are certified by a board of elections. County boards of elections in North Carolina were scheduled to meet to certify Nov. 4, 2025, election results on Nov. 14.
