WILKES-BARRE — Mark Bufalino won a decisive victory on Tuesday to become the 11th judge on the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas.
According to unofficial results, Bufalino, a Democrat, garnered 40,549 votes to Republican challenger Tom Mosca’s 35,556.
Bufalino, 55, of Kingston Township, said he ran for the bench to use his extensive courtroom experience to uphold the rule of law.
“This means everything to me,” Bufalino said. “After 30 years of practicing law, it’s an absolute dream come true to join this esteemed group of judges, and I look forward to serving the people of Luzerne County.”
Bufalino said he is no stranger to the place where you will often find a judge — the courtroom.
