LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- The votes are in for who will take the seats up for grabs on the Lansing City Council.
Clara Martinez and Jeremy Garza have won the race for the two Lansing City Council At-Large seats. Martinez took home the plurality, with 33% of the vote. Garza received 30% of the votes.
Julie Vandenboom received 27% of the vote, and Aurelius Christian took home 10%.
In the Ward 2 race, Deyanira Nevarez Martinez took home 72% of the vote as of 11:52 p.m., with her opponent, Eric Alquist, taking home 28%.
For Ward 4, the race was a little closer, with Peter Spadafore taking home 59% of the vote, and Heath Lowery taking home 41%.
The Lansing City Council has 8 members -- 4 At-Large and 4 for each ward. 2 At-Large and 2 Ward seats are put up for election every odd year.
