TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Democrats in Tucson's Wards 3, 5 and 6 say they're focusing on tackling key issues in the community.
The winners, including incumbent Kevin Dahl in Ward 3, Miranda Schubert in Ward 6 and Celina Barajas in Ward 5, are eager to begin addressing their constituents' concerns. They are prioritizing the economy, infrastructure and street maintenance.
"Looking at the street maintenance - fixing the potholes - making sure our residents have safe streets that they can do when they leave their homes and also streetlights - a lot of our lights aren't working," Barajas said.
"I think climate change is the existential problem that we're gonna have to deal with. I think anybody who lives in Tucson every summer understands the impact of climate change," Dahl said.
