A Queensland disability pensioner has passionately vowed to "keep breaking the law" to continue operating his mobile roadside fruit stall despite being in the midst of a court battle.

Ray Aitkin says he has been selling cheap, locally sourced fruit in the Bundaberg region for more than 20 years.

But he told the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Tuesday that he had been fined multiple times and taken to court twice for operating without a permit.

Mr Aitkin's latest appearance related to a fine for selling citrus in the small seaside community of Woodgate Beach, four hours north of Brisbane.

"I'm not guilty of selling drugs on council land," he told the court.

"I'm selling mandarins — very cheap mandarins, too."

Mr Aitkin said the council had recently started to crack down on his business
