Fans of The Great British Bake Off have shared their reactions after Edinburgh contestant Jasmine Mitchell took the crown in Tuesday night's final.

The 23-year-old triumphed over fellow competitors Tom and Aaron after impressing judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith yet again, having already won the Star Baker accolade a record-equalling five times.

The former George Heriot's School pupil now lives in London, where she is studying to be a doctor. It was revealed during the episode that she juggled filming and practising her bakes with taking her medical exams.

Across the final three challenges, Jasmine produced bakes of a high standard which she has kept up across the 10 weeks of the competition.
