A woman has been arrested following a blaze at a sports ground in the Midlands.

Officers have appealed for information after the blaze took place on Tuesday morning (November 4).

The fire took place at the old Stafford Rugby Club sometime between 8.30am and 9am.

Officers arrested a woman in connection with the blaze and she remained in custody yesterday.

Staffordshire Police has appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.

Anyone that could help enquiries have been urged to call 101 quoting incident number 143 of November 4.
