There were some significant mayoral outcomes in Tuesday’s election, perhaps none bigger than the results in Lancaster.
Several hours after the polls closed, Jaime Arroyo declared victory in the race to be Lancaster city’s next mayor.
He pulled almost 85 percent of the votes cast.
Arroyo will become Lancaster’s first Latino mayor, a historic milestone in a city where more than 40% of residents identify as Hispanic. His inauguration is scheduled for Jan. 5, 2026.
