CHESTER – Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus declared victory Tuesday night in his campaign against his Democratic challenger, civil rights attorney, Michael Sussman.

Neuhaus, the Republican incumbent, won his fourth term and celebrated with supporters at the Castle Fun Center in Chester.

Neuhaus says he’ll waste no time getting back to work on the county budget.

He noted that many challenges await county government with so much volatility at the federal level.

“We have a major food fight coming between Washington and Albany, and the counites are going to end up suffering—meaning the people, so we have to really stay on our A-game with that,” said Neuhaus.

Sussman, meanwhile, had a message for his supporters.
