Regular Vinted sellers are noticing that a pop-up alert in their app is asking for information on behalf of HMRC . It comes as the UK Government continues to crack down on tax evaders who use online selling platforms to make a profit.

TikTok user Chloe (@chloe_chandlerx) claimed that after making 30 sales with the online app, her actions triggered an alert informing her of a "legal requirement" she must fulfil for the government body. The notification appeared on her app's home screen , stating that UK legislation demanded "one detail" from her.
