CASTLE HILL, Bronx (WABC) -- Four adults were discovered dead inside an apartment building in the Bronx on Wednesday morning in a possible triple murder-suicide.

The bodies of two men and two women were discovered inside the Castle Hill Houses on Lacombe Avenue around 9:45 a.m.

The victims were discovered in a fifth-floor apartment.

Police say a 44-year-old man is suspected of shooting his 75-year-old mother, his 26-year-old daughter and his daughter's boyfriend.

A gun was recovered at the scene.

Officials said the suspect called his 20-year-old son in North Carolina around 8:10 a.m. and left a voicemail that said, "Check on your family."

The medical examiner will determine the victims' causes of death.
