Four adults were found dead in a Bronx apartment on Wednesday morning in an apparent murder-suicide, NYPD officials said.
Police said the four were found at the Castle Hill Houses just before 10 a.m. Officials said police were responding to a wellness check and that a gun was recovered at the scene.
Authorities said the people included a 44-year-old male found in the living room near the couch, a 75-year-old female and a 26-year-old female found near the back of the apartment, and a male in his 20s found near the entryway. Officials said the adults all appear to be related, but police were still investigating their identities.
This section of the Bronx experiences a regular stream of violence. So far this year, there have been 27 shootings involving 30 victims, a 17% increase over last
