Nearly half of the registered voters in Larimer County cast ballots in the Tuesday election, with about 40% of those voting waiting until Tuesday to drop off their ballots.
Of the 275,845 active voters in the county, 133,467 had voted by 7 p.m. on Election Day, which is a turnout of 48%, according to information from the Larimer County Clerk’s Office. Most of those, almost 98%, either mailed in their ballots or dropped them off in the county’s secure drop boxes, while just 2.24% voted in person.
Of the total ballots cast, 40.8% (54,461) came in on Tuesday.
Loveland’s turnout was slightly higher than the overall for the county — 50.48% of active Loveland voters cast ballots for a total of 37,505 votes. Of the 14 cities and towns tracked by the county, Loveland had the fourth highest turn
