BOSTON —

StormTeam5 has issued a weather alert into Thursday morning for another round of strong winds.

A cold front will bring a quick passing shower or gusty thunderstorm before midnight, followed by a burst of strong westerly winds.

A high wind warning is in effect until 8 a.m. Thursday for gusts 50-60 mph, which could be damaging, bringing down trees and leading to scattered power outages.

"The gusts are going to ramp up quickly Wednesday night, and that wind is really going to be screaming Thursday morning," Fitzgibbon said.

Winds will step down gradually during the afternoon but will still gust 30-40 mph through midday, making it feel colder.

High temperatures will only be in the upper 40s and low 50s under bright sunshine Thursday.
