It’s been several days since a masked, armed robber hit a gas station in Troy, and police are still searching for him.
According to the Troy Police Department, the robbery happened at around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30 at the Shell station located at 6951 Rochester Road. The store clerk reported a man armed with a rifle entered the business, pointed the weapon at him and demanded money from the cash register. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the robber, who then fled on foot.
No injuries were reported.
Police said video surveillance shows the suspect carrying what appeared to be an AK-47 style rifle. He remained near the counter during the interaction before fleeing south behind the building, police said.
