AUSTIN, Texas — All aboard the Central Texas weather rollercoaster.

Ahead of a strong cold front, Friday will be one of the hottest November afternoons ever recorded in Austin. However, behind the front, our weather by Sunday turns cool and blustery, setting the stage for our coldest mornings so far of the season by early next week.

Friday afternoon will be more than 15 degrees warmer than average for this time of the year, and should easily break the daily record high temperature, which is 89 degrees.

The more pressing question is will the all-time November heat record be broken. 91 degrees has happened four times in the month of November since records began in 1898. That's what we have in the forecast for Austin.
