Did you know that up until Election Night, you couldn't get a cocktail in the small town of Bethany?
On Election Day, voters overwhelmingly approved a referendum that would allow liquor to be sold at restaurants. The referendum passed with 1,747 votes in favor, and 498 against.

The last time liquor laws in Bethany were touched was the 1980s, which gave restaurants the OK to sell beer and wine. As of Wednesday, according to the town, only two restaurants serve beer and wine in Bethany.
Now that nearly 78% of voters said they want to add liquor to the menu, at least one of those restaurants is exploring their options.
